Barlow’s Nuveen Green Capital Story

Barlow graduated from Colby College in May of 2018 and found his way to Greenworks after some travel and work experiences across the country and Europe. During his time at Colby he pursued a degree in Environmental Policy and Economics. His work experiences during his time in Maine, took him from an organic rice farm to conducting forest ecology research in Acadia National Park. He also conducted fishery policy research for his capstone project, looking into Maine’s lobster fishery. He is deeply concerned with the potential impacts climate change poses and is passionate about our solutions, such as renewable energy. 

Barlow first became interested with the intersection of energy and environment during an internship with Clean Marine Energy, a clean-tech financing group focused on maritime emissions and LNG solutions. He is excited to be joining Nuveen Green Capital’s underwriting team to help property owners through the process and implement their renewable energy and efficiency projects. In his free time Barlow can be found on the ski slopes or hiking.
