Elyssa’s Nuveen Green Capital Story
Elyssa is a dedicated advocate for sustainable investment, community-based economic development and equitable clean energy choices. As the Director of Policy and Program Development at Nuveen Green Capital, she works to lay the groundwork for PACE programs that save energy and money for property owners, while achieving public policy goals for local governments.
Elyssa has spent her career in the clean energy finance and incentive space. Before joining Nuveen Green Capital, Elyssa was the Director of Policy and Market Development at PACENation, the national advocacy nonprofit for PACE Financing from 2015 – 2018. She also worked as the Director of C-PACE and Government Engagement at Energize NY, NY State’s PACE Program from 2012 – 2015.
Before PACE came to the east coast, Elyssa worked as a contractor for NYSERDA’s (New York State Energy Research and Development Authority) energy efficiency programs, where she engaged with community stakeholders and property owners to undertake meaningful clean energy projects. She graduated from New York University with a degree in Social Entrepreneurship, and holds a Certificate in Fundraising from NYU’s School of Professional Studies.
